Basic Recipe: Mince and Onion

Want this recipe? Go to Dish It. Then look at the mince and onion recipe. Follow the steps. It may be a bit "advanced" for some people, but you'll figure it out!

Basic Cooking: Measuring

So, you can measure dry things now, can't you? Well, what if you want to make something with a litre of water in it? You could trust your sense. What's that? You don't have sense? Well, then you get a liquid measuring cup. What's that? You don't know how to use it? Well, then, here it is...

Measuring water
Get your 100ml cup, if you have one, and fill it with water. Say you need a litre of water. Now get that 100ml and pour it in a pot. Then, so you have a litre, get another nine of those and put them in the pot. You get it? 100ml*10=100ml=1 litre. Got that? Well done! You could boil something in that if you want.

Simple, eh?

Basic Recipe: Cheese and Tomato Sandwich

So basic I never even thought of making a recipe for it. It isn't too satisfying but at least you won't starve!

Ingredients and Utensils
1 tomato
cheese
pepper
a knife
two slices of bread

Method
0. If the tomato isn't washed, wash it
1. Cut about three slices of cheese and three slices of tomato (to do this cut down from the top)
2. Put the cheese on one slice of bread
3. Put the tomatoes on top
4. Grind the pepper on the bread, but not too much!
5. Put the other piece of bread on top of the first
6. Cut the sandwich in half
7. Serve

Alright, isn't it? You can make as many as you want, but you'll need to go through the entire recipe again!

Basic Recipe: Fried Potatoes

To make this recipe I thought to my self "How would a dummy do this?" Of course, I knew I was going to fry potatoes, but I didn't think of the other things. Just like you might. So when I got the potato I forgot a crucial thing: wash before you cook. No, not your own hands, silly! The potato! Anyway, here's the recipe:

Ingredients and Utensils*
1 potato
some oil
a frying pan
a knife
a wooden spoon

Preparation
1. Wash the potato! (and your hands, if you want)
2. Cut the potato in half
3. Then in half again
4. Then in half again
5. Then in half again
6. Then in half again
7. Put the frying pan, with oil on it, on the stove
8. Turn the stove on
9. Every minute or two, stir the potatoes with the wooden spoon
10. Cook for 25-30 minutes until it is cooked through
11. Serve on a plate

What? You wanted it to serve 4 people? You'll need for potatoes!

*Utensils are things like pots and pans and spoons and stuff
